Goes to show the expression "third time lucky" is a load of nonsense.

It might be for the RNLI, if she f***ed off back inland.

The same as the bloke who jumped into the Thames for some ridiculous online video should have been prosecuted . I know he did make some donation but he should have been hauled before the authorities. Found the show quite an eye opener as to just how quickly someone can get swept away

'People like that should either arrange cover in advance, be charged for the cost of rescue or left to drown (for the future of the gene pool). Its like people who engage in things like 'Tracking across the North pole' and have to be rescued. F**k them, there is a reason why everyone else avoids the north f**king pole. Its inhospitable.

You'd hope so, what they do for free is quite remarkable.

There was a documentary about them on the BBC recently and while most people they helped were very grateful, one of them walked straight off like she was leaving a taxi.

They’re the fifth emergency service, just behind the AA.

Yeah, did it for a Youtube stunt and was in trouble before he'd even hit the water.

For those that didn't see his bright idea:

I think the near death experience probably taught him more than hauling him over the coals ever would, he admitted his own stupidity on camera and he did donate the revenue it raised.

Was a very interesting 4 part show.

You mean trekking. Tracking is what the rescuers end up having to do.

You can't charge for the cost of the rescue, as they do it all for free and leaving them to drown kind of defeats the object of the service, but I know what you mean.

Yep, 4 of them. You only saw the last one by the sound of it.

The lads on LSD in the Thames on one of the other episodes was well funny.

Thanks. Found that episode on iplayer and have not long finished watching it. For all my messing about and silly comments on here its not often something shocks me into absolute silence. That episode did especially when it focused on activities at beachy head. Don't think I will, forget it in a hurry.

Was that the one where the RNLI man had to just sit and comfort someone who'd, unsuccessfully, tried to kill himself by driving over it until he died of his injuries hours later?

It was that episode stuk. I am Not someone who cries at things often especially not on tv but the part where they showed the recovery of some one who had jumped.. well it's haunted me. You know it happens but seeing that has done something to me .
