Bottom line we didn't replace Jedi like Pardew thought we would. Flamini ticks the boxes and is a better passer. We need cover for Cabaye and JM, I do think that Ledley is better than people think and can definitely do a job for us. Consistent when he has played. Under rated. Nobody we have been linked with or bought has Jedi's leadership qualities, from that point of view he is a big miss as well as his other qualities.

We could do a lot worse and I cant see any better available on a free for that role. the real questions are, are we going to pay what is likely to be a sizable salary for him to sit on the bench and is he much kop these days - I have a few Arsenal mates and none seem very complimentary of his second stint there. I believe so and besides, we wouldn't be that stupid to pursue him if we couldn't and instead the Telegraph report would be mocking our lack of understanding the rules rather than us actually targeting Flamini.
