KaiKai is not ready for the PL. He has huge potential but has yet to even kick a ball in the Championship. This season playing regular football at that level will be invaluable to him and to us.

Joniesta is a strange one, he just can't seem to get going with us without something or someone interrupting. Normally it's an injury and I did really hope this would be the season for him with us, but having picked up yet another injury in pre-season, I think it makes sense for him to go away for one last time and try and play a whole season without getting injured at a good club at a good level. Ipswich fans love him, and they play good football so he'll be a key player for them so if he can help Ipswich, maybe we can get the benefit next season - if not then I guess it will probably be time to let him go - there will certainly be plenty of takers.

I love the fact Kaikai isn't ready for the PL and you know this how?

Example Dele Alli from Tottenham. By your logic he wouldn't have played the last 2 years in the PL because he only had League One level experience.

You can't know what you don't know and your logic is complete Horse Sh*t.

Because Pardew is a BAD manager, both as developer and evaluator of talent. Both KaiKai and Williams who should be with Crystal Palace because we're SOOOOOOO thin in the midfield, they're are out on loan. All the while a vaunted Pardew guy like Jordon Mutch, who should be transferred away from Palace. Sh*ts around the midfield all across the PL.

Agree regarding Mutch.
But I think you would find the vast majority of Palace fans...even those that are looking for a stick to hit Pardew with...think Kaikai et al are not ready yet.

How much have you seen of KaiKai? He scored some good goals at Shrewsbury but few were ones that you wouldn't expect a half decent keeper to save. He is still developing, if he is THAT good, having a season in the championship won't do him any harm whereas if he isn't, dropping him into first team sitting on the bench most of the time will only hinder him.

As for Jonny, my favourite player of recent times but unfortunately unlikely to make it with us. He has had 3 PL Palace managers and 3 championship managers and the only one to get a regular tune out of him has been McArthy. Nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong about him but I just cannot see it, squad player at best.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Pardew and the board can't keep everyone happy , I think the players we have loaned or bought in this window are a vast improvement on the players we let go, loaning Kai Kai is a shame but he needs to test himself first. Johnny Williams is a great lad but I think in a game like afcb the other day he would have fallen short in all departments, with him in midfield we would be torn to shreds, the 1st half was awful but 2nd half I thought we looked class.
Think some slack needs to be cut here

I wish both Williams and Boateng had not gone out on loan.

100 percent ready, pardew even said kaikai would of started around xmas time if he was not injured. Pardew stated last year he earnt his opportunity for a chance in the first team and by all means was our best player against southampton. He was nominated for league one player of the season and also scored a lot of goals for shrewsbury from the wing, finishing as their top scorer. Also on his first opportunity for palace against newcastle (managed by pardew) he scored to equalise after being on the pitch for about 10 minutes. Also was our topscorer in preseason. If townsend or zaha get injured totally bemused as to why he has been let go. A season in the championship will do him good, but he is ready and think if he had stayed he would of been used and established himself. I think pardew doesnt fancy him.

I think with the new rules scrapping emergency loans, to keep both Kaikai and Boateng to play bit part roles in our squad would have been immensely unfair on both. They're both at an age where they need to be playing regularly and whilst it would have been good to see them get minutes here and there, realistically would either have got into the starting 11? I think we chose the only option we had, and I am sure particularly in Kaikai's case, if he stars in the Championship this year he will definitely be in our manager's thoughts next season.

Flawless post. Why do some people look to turn even the most common sense football club decisions into some sort of Bond Villain-style plot?

I'm glad that a relatively well known fan has expressed something I think a lot of other fans feel.
I'm sure Wenger said he would be involved this season
A season long loan will if he stays all season, would make it necessary for him to be named in the 25 the following season to feature

Also, Wenger made a veiled threat to JW to perform in the euros to get a chance this season. Well unless I'm missing something he did just that.
As there is a place available in the 25 I think Wengs I being a bit vindictive

I believe that Wenger believes that acadamies wrap players in cotton wool. He said he felt like an outsider by the players who came through the academy when he joined us from non league

Anyway, want to thank Kevin Costner for speaking up and expressing the joy a homegrown player coming through gives us fans. I started going to games in the late seventies, where we started a tradition that if we now abandon then it takes the joy out of it for me.

Cheers

Edit for perspective.

Zaha and Puncheon are carrying that torch for now, but they're not going to be here forever. Lets at least give those who have the club at heart at least a fair opportunity. Without Zaha, its debatable we would be here

Cheers

F*ck off.

I know this in the same way that you think he is ready for PL football. Logic suggests, that having not kicked a ball in The Championship or proved himself at that level, he is unlikely to be ready for PL. Either way, he is not going to get as much game time at Palace as he is with Brentford - unless you see him replacing Zaha or Townsend? Having a season at Brentford will develop him a lot quicker than it will having him sit on our bench for the season.

We had the option of a loan until January whereupon we could have reviewed his progress and acted accordingly. If rumours are to be believed we could go back to Charlton with a higher bid for Lookman in January which makes it highly unlikely that Kaikai will get a place in our line up unless we sell Xaha
