Gotta laugh. "A few years ago we did some drawings, no crayons or nothing, but the council have ignored them even though we never showed them to them. I just don't get it. Man and boy I have been wall, man and boy. Proud of our knuckledragging history I am."

Having read further about this can someone explain something. Why if it's the land around it are Millwall saying they will have to move to Kent. Is this while flats are built or permanently and if permanently then why?

I think their argument is that it impacts on the local businesses that form part of the community of the club and - more importantly - has an impact on the functioning of the club's academy.

But basically they're saying they will have to move to emotionally blackmail the council into reversing their decision.

Not that that they have to or will be moving anywhere, but if they did move to somewhere in the Medways their fans would at least be able to support a local team for a change.

That land includes their training ground and the purchase also included the freehold to the Den.

I don’t understand. Why would they be forced to move if the land AROUND the stadium is sold?

If councillors seek Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) on the plots, then sell them to Renewal, what’s built will be out of the club’s control.
A series of major blows could be struck to the Lions, including the eviction of their Community Trust from their current home but, perhaps most crucially, it has recently emerged that the club’s academy could suffer.
Millwall operate a Category 2 academy, costing roughly £600,000 per year and putting the club on the same level as some Premier League and Championship sides.
The Millwall Community Trust could be evicted from their current home if the CPO is approved

Part of the requirements of the Category 2 license is access to indoor and outdoor training pitches. Millwall use an AstroTurf at the Lions Centre which they say will become inaccessible in the event of the land being sold.
This would result in their academy being downgraded, leading to other London sides pinching local talent. To avoid this, relocation would be necessary.

Wait a sec... who’s in charge of Renewal?

The private land developers’ chief executive is former Lewisham officer Mustaq Malik - an old colleague of the current Lewisham chief executive Barry Quirk.
The Guardian previously revealed that one of the company’s founding directors was a former mayor of the borough - Dave Sullivan.

But who owns Renewal?

Ah, now that remains a mystery. Journalist Barney Ronay, who has pursued the story tirelessly over the past year, reports that ‘there is no evidence Renewal has ever carried out a major development project’.
He also claimed ‘it has no interests in the area’.

sounds like a right shambles. Question marks over whether the planned development has its £2m funding from Sport England.
