I would rather define manager eras in a way of bands or artists , starting from my era .
sir steve - slade , shouty and stompy and you get what you see
alan smith - elvis Presley, all flashy stuff but no substance
dave basset - status quo , head down no frills
steve bruce - the velvet underground ,brilliant and slipped under the radar then got noticed and it all went wrong
trevor francis - coldplay , like their songs all games seemed to melt into one
iain dowie - stone roses , great first album but couldn't quite manage making a good second album
peter taylor - the bluetones , great first single then it all sounded the same
neil Warnock - the bonzo dog doodah band , who the fcuk knew what was going on

paul hart - pulp , filled in when the stone roses blew out Glastonbury and did a great job
George burley - the yardbirds , debutted wilf as the yardbirds did jimmy page
dougie freedman - the beatles , the beatles found drugs and got brilliant , dougie got told to play good football by the owners in a car park and got brilliant and then it all ended in acrimony
ian Holloway - the wurzels , just because of his accent
tony pulis - oasis , very lumpen and predictable but popular and got results but fell apart with recriminations
alan Pardew - the clash , a three pronged attack ,for strummer, jones, simenon , read wilf , benteke, townsend

ive missed a few caretakers here and there before the pedants start

I was thinking Tony Pulis was more like Rolf Harris. Whilst the music wasn't too good, he did know how to draw.

I was thinking down our end, but if we're including the north, then I have a special hatred for a little place called Cheedle Hulme in Manchester, absolute s*** hole just doesn't cut it, think of the worst most utterly vile place you've been to, then imagine that it's post a nuclear apocalypse where the residents street cred is measured by how many times you've OD'd on smack, and how many STD's your partner has, coupled with the amount of naked, lice infested off spring you can pump out of your (somehow fertile, despite the drugs) v*****.

If you can imagine that, then imagine that covered in sh1t, then you have something close to what its like.

They walk around like a walking living breathing advert for a Sports direct sale, teeth are it seems a thing for posh people that shop in Lidl, those that have them resemble a burnt out fuse box, or a pan of burnt chips.

And if you farted they'd try and nick it, makes Slade Green look like Downtown Abbey.

This made me laugh. My brother and his family live in Cheadle Hulme. It's not quite as bad as you say (it has a Waitrose, after all) but it's typical suburban Cheshire with, admittedly, more than its fair share of chavs and knobs and desperately trying to be as select as Bramhall, its up-market neighbour. In the other direction, it's bordered by Stockport which really is a festering c*nthole.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Very funny post Danny

Now i've been to Moss Side (survived, just) and next to it is Hulme. Could this perhaps be the correct one?

Bishops walk in Shirley, Croydon.

Never made a penny working in this private road.
Tight,penny chiselling Kuntz.

Has now gone on my banned list along with New Addo , Purley & coulsdon.

No. Hulme is a district of Manchester whilst Cheadle Hulme is south of Stockport

I know someone who lived in 'Bishops Walk' and he was generous to a fault with a heart as big as Moby Dick.
