He needs a long spoon who would sup with the Devil: and an even longer one, who would sup with him after having been f***ed over by him once already.

Totally disagree with this. When he played for Palace he was a fantastic and loyal player.Bit of arrogance ? - yes. So what. What he has done for Wales is great andhe still tals of his palace days with great fondness. He made a lot of friends me being one of them.
Howver, Pulis is a w**nker. And as for that Judas Steve Bruce, I cannot believe that any Palace fan would let him walk into the dressing room again. He must be the most disloyal and duplicitous manager in football.

A friend said Roberto Martínez might be worth a shout, I scoffed at the notion to start with but maybe it could work?

Or how about Klingsman, hear he'd like to move to the premiership.

Neither are probably the right choice for a mid season change tho.

This isn't like calling each other silly names and making up again or "he said this and he said that" or "he started it, not me."

Great idea though.

And he got his money back too.

Moral of the story.

Don't f*** with Parish.... He's a clever man.

Look at his league management record with Fulham, Coventry and the spanish outfit he managed and you'll see why with any luck he will never sit in the home dugout.

Would honestly rather be relegated than have Pulis back in charge.

Also if/when Pardew does finally get sacked, let's get someone who has no connecton to Palace! Need whoever is best for the job.

What if the best man has Palace connections?
Too much is made of old players being employed at clubs. As already stated SP is no mug, so why do people think he'd employ people just cos they're old boys?

My view is that we should try to recruit a proven top-tier manager.

Such an individual:

*All but guarantees PL football next year
*Probably is worth 5 positive league positions over an average PL manager with a squad like ours
*Improves the worth of existing players, helping future trading immeasurably
*Gets us on television more, generating greater income
*May bring greater knowledge of where value is in a foreign transfer market

Those things would make such an individual COMFORTABLY earn the ~£5m-£10m a year they would command in salary.

When I take the view that Pardew maybe isn't the future, my thinking is substantially shaped by a belief that someone else could do a lot with our squad and resources (just look at Leicester last year).

It won't take a lot for us to enjoy a truly golden era in our history that lasts decades. One thing is top level managerial talent.

EDIT: That excludes Pulis

This is a daft thread. Pulis and Parish ended up with a messy court case so there is no way that either one would contemplate working with the other one again
