Left Back ideas for January window

I wonder if Pardew will give Zeki Fryers a run out in the League Cup so that we can all see what he's made of

Winning The League Cup is worth naff all these days.

I don't see Kelly as good enough for half a season in this position and the same with Fryers. If we managed to get in a good left back till Pape comes back then I think we will be a real force to reckon with...

I would be more than happy to be proved wrong, as the team may grow into this formation... and I have not given up on Fryers who had a good pre-season and was then injured at precisely the wrong time. I want him to play on Wednesday and be very good. However, as I see it today, a specialist LB seems an absolute must buy for January. Please may time prove me wrong.
