Just a thought. We are allowed to change our 25 named players (excluding those under 21) following the closure of the January window. Are we allowed not to include senior (older) players whose injuries mean they are unlikely to play for the rest of the season. Is a cup match governed by the same named 25 requirement?

The PL 25 man squad rules only apply in PL games they don't apply for FA Cup, League Cup etc.

I am fairly sure We can not leave a space because a player is injured. So from my reading if we don't have 25 fit players Souare and Wickham would be in squad
