Hi all,
I'm off to Africa next month and volunteering in an orphanage for a couple of weeks in Kibera, Nairobi- the biggest slum in Africa. I would absolutely love to take some Palace shirts, balls etc for the kids but despite a couple of emails to the club and a tweet to SP I've not heard anything back. Does anyone know who I should contact? There must be a tonne of old unsold shirts etc that the club no longer need/want, surely? Would be great to add a few new fans in Kenya! Thanks in advance

Maybe Kirbyeagle can help, see below. If he's not shifting them then maybe he'll be happy to donate.

Contact Seth on here - he and his son did something similar a couple of years ago, and I believe that the club provided stuff for him to take out with him.

Good for you, straightbackup.

Huge respect for anyone who volunteers overseas - especially in such tough conditions.

Hope you get the chance to do a bit of scouting!

I've been in touch with Straighbackup but just wanted to post this picture again as a reminder of the club's generosity in 2014 when I volunteered in Uganda. I hope they can do the same for the OP, but I know they get a lot of requests like this and can't help them all.

Because of the club's donation there is now a group of Ugandan Palace fans in Kabale who gather at a local bar to watch our matches and keep in touch with me to chat about all things Palace-related!

Well done folks! What's wrong with communications at the club these days? As you say, a few outdated shirts can do a lot of good for some kids who won't have much in terms of material possessions and raise the club's overseas profile.
