I'm going to try a firestick from this website tomorrow; If that works they also sell fully loaded tablets so I'm thinking of purchasing one of those for christmas You could just buy the firestick and put a build on yourself. Would save you a bit of money. Plenty of YouTube vids on how to do it. I just did 2 for a friend. It took me about 30mins. Fully loaded with all you need.

Yeah I'm being lazy. I'm led to believe it's not rocket science and a guy at my work near retirement age managed to do it himself with a little messing about, but for the sake of £60 or thereabouts I'm happy to just buy it and see how it works.

Fair dos. Can be a bit daunting if you're not 100% confident.

How far away from a BT HOMEHUB will a FIRE STICK work and if there is a day distance it stops working at, is there a solution? Lots of talk of PC's and phones and stuff on the internet. Beyond me until someone actually says this is what you do in a full, legible sentence without words missing and finished prematurely to keep the mystery going or because every minute is hundreds of £s in their day. Gotta love the younger generation. They think you know exactly what they're talking about so keep the explanation as brief as possible and then you're none the wiser.

Firesticks work just fine over wifi...depending on the strength of your router and the usual walls in between. It may be worth just investing £20 in some wifi extenders that plug in a socket and pick up the signal then boosting it round your home. As for the firestick...its a nice solution but as always with the addons they come and go (but you knew that) so you still need to be prepaired once you've got KODI on it to look for new apps and add them File Manager route within KODI

Can anyone help with this? I'm setting up the Fire Stick but I've tried a few addons and can't get any to happen. Now tried latest fusion but when you try and install from Zip file there's nothing under Fusion. No web address or anything that I entered 2 mins before. IN SHORT..... After I add source and then go to Install from zip file there is nothing there, or in the names of the source I've just added. EDIT: I've got streamtvbox working but there's buffering which I don't get on the laptop. Still need to load some sports and movies addons. Edited by Rudi Hedman (16 Oct 2016 8.31pm)

Edited by Rudi Hedman (16 Oct 2016 6.02pm) Sure I read somewhere that there was going to be a block on firesticks being able to use KODI. I may have dreamt it though. Or you could just buy a Firestick and load it yourself. Depends how confident you are, I guess, but it only takes a short while and there are lots of DIY videos on YouTube. I don't think we need to know what sort of video's you watch on the net thanks
