Anyone else slightly worried about the newly vacated England manager position...

Pardew as England manager? It is the poisoned chalice position. Eddie Howe or Glenn Hoddle (minus his former spiritualist sidekick)

Pardew is too early for the position and needs to prove himself more so in the top flight.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility. Southgate's more likely though.

I'd have thought Bruce was the obvious candidate.

Good point. More likely than Pardew.

With respect,Pardew has more than proved himself at a high level.Look at his early achievements at Newcastle, winning LMA title and experience in Europe.Probably had a better CV than Fat Sam and is vastly more experienced than Howe, another contender for the vacancy. My only hope is that the FA hate his rather embarrassing dancing routines,as per the Cup Final, and look for a better mover!!

There's FA more for them to worry about than his moves.

Exactly this. I'm more worried about the (remote, hopefully) possibility of him being implicated in the other allegations than I am him being appointed England manager.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Why not Glenn Hoddle and Eddie Howe!
