To be fair, he makes a valid point: we should have beaten both of those teams at home. We've had a very easy run in thus far, remember that!

I'd rather he stayed personally, but if he does go, I hope we bring big sam in, would be the safest pair of hands imo

At best, we'd stand still. At worst, there'd be an almost sexual flirtation with relegation.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Please, NOT THIS!

I'm hoping Pardew doesn't fit the FA bill and would suggest he was a better candidate last time around but didn't get it. There's a certain stability at the club and we seem to be moving in the right direction with the signings, playing style etc. I've never expected overnight success but I feel that a manager change at the moment would probably be a regression. As has been said here already, name some (realistic) candidates who could continue the forward momentum...........

I don't see why we should have any specific right or even ability to beat West Brom - who played better and smarter than us and we drew with Bournemouth - which plenty of teams will do. Perhaps even the top ones. We played well against Spurs but still lost. I expect us to lose against Everton with our current injuries. We have taken points where we should have and we will lose some matches. So you think we should have fifteen points and should be second too? I didn't think we would have the ten we have.

Southgate is favourite (I guess because he's been appointed temp manager), but how the f*** can Steve Bruce be 2nd favourite?
The FA is a joke.

Becuase the FA have just stumped up something like £2M to Sunderland and Bruce wouldn't cost them a penny. Very much strengthens Bruces case.

Being reported now 8 current or former managers have taken bungs from agents.

I would like to see AP stay, he has done and is doing a superb job IMO. If he was to go we must replace with a high profile manager who can continue the progress under AP. The trouble is I cannot think of anybody who could carry on the progress, anybody got any ideas?

I thought Pardew said last time round that he didn't want to do it until after England had bollocksed up the 2018 World Cup, or words to that effect.

Look what happened to Newcastle when he left.
I am coming to the conclusion that the reason we have got such good support over the years is cos there are loads of Palace who don't seem to reIish success.
Just when we really start to look good you don't care if a main cog in our machine goes. Beggars belief.

I would definitely care,we are an established Premier League club, just been to a cup final and currently sit in 7th position. Realistically for a club of our size what more do people expect?

Amazing really isn't it.

You watch all these other clubs sack decent managers and then plummet. Our club would never be that stupid.

Then you come here and read how fans actually want us to part with our decent manager.

Crazy!!

Yeah just heard this too on 5 Live, I think that comes from player agents though so its second hand info rather than certified proof.

If the board listened to some of the "fans" we'd still have Speroni in goal, Chamakh up front and we'd sack every single manager that went 2 games without a win.

Sack Bilic! Scousers lost to Burnley yet Klopp is a f*cking genius. There are no certainties in this league and based on the last two seasons, I wouldn't say we were nailed on to win any home game! I get a bit peeved with the sense of entitlement to win games among some posters without the credit being given for a job well done when we actually win!
