What are the chances that Blizter and co bail if we cannot get stadium sorted? Reckon the Prem money bubble will have burst by the time anything happens with stadium.

If we do then we will prob end up as a soulless Arsenal /Reading hybrid in a nice new/rebuilt (probably half full) library.

Yeah sorry , didn't mean to be negative about PALACE ( although it is in our DNA lol). I am aware that we are in possibly our best period as a club , and I am proud as punch about that, we appear to be run sensibly and could be in a better position than most to ride the money storm that will inevitably blow some(possibly bigger than ours) houses down.

Definitely more fun it was back in the 70's and 80's even if a lot more dangerous. The spontaneity has gone. Mobbing up with other 14 year olds, all four of us, paying at the gate, being able to move around, reasonably priced tickets, not knowing the attendance until later (could be anything between 5,000 and 45,000 between 1975-85).

Can understand the OP's points but think we're far from being one of the big boys with a huge stadium but no atmosphere (quite the opposite in fact !). Also agree about the Championship, away days much more fun down there mostly against teams with supporters very much like ours, not expecting too much. It's great to see how far we've come and it's still exciting stuff, let's hope we never become a team who take it for granted and see success as a right (Clownton anyone ?) It's better to be where we are, but it does make you think of what the future may hold.

At times the whole professional football edifice can seem like some pit full of greedy corrupt individuals, clubs and organisations wallowing in a cesspit of money where morals and ethical behaviour are not on their radar.

The trouble is if you give up on football for those reasons you pretty well have to give up on much else in the public arena as football is just showing the symptoms of a general malaise in the way a lot of business appears to be conducted ( there are obviously exceptions - hopefully more than there appear to be).
