I went around 2001, Don’t know if anyone remembers this but I’m pretty sure we were about to break our record for longest ever unbeaten run. It was a midweek game and the journey was a misery. Got there at halftime, we were 1-0 down. It finished 1-0. Never fancied going back.

BNP hotspot, all white first team except for one player who, I believe, is injured at the moment. Am I wrong?

These two features may be coincidental and entirely irrelevant.

I'd go with the bold part.... Unless Sean Dyche is some kind of Nick Griffin and Adolf Hitler love child...

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Burnley is like someone read 'The Road to Wigan Pier' and then decided to build a city that could out do it in terms of miserable, soul destroying, bleak up north grimness. People are generally alright though, and the drinking culture is/was pretty good.

Its basically Sunderland, but with somewhat friendlier people. It reminds you that Croydon isn't actually as bad as you think.

Not a place you'd visit without an explicit reason, and not a place where you'd choose to live or go for a holiday.

Is there a Jerk Chicken Shack next to the ground though?

Sadly not, but the efficiency of beer service in the away end concourse makes up for it.

We were parked on the moors side (rather than town centre side) of the ground last time out and it was definitely a case of "colours hidden and London mouth shut" walking back after the game past the chippie queues. Deffo an edge in the air up there.

Not a bad summary. No real reason to visit apart from footie or if you live locally shopping. I live outside 15 miles away ish (over the brush as Lancastrians mock closer to yawkshire boundarys got moved) the natives aren't too friendly with home losses especially after conceding points late against hull arsenal I think it will be another tight game edgy affair hopefully another 2-3.

I went to the first game of the season a while back, 0-0, cant remember the year Had the wife in tow and she wanted a napkin with her pie, " there's no need for napkins in Burnley " was the reply from the northern lass serving.
Quite like the ground, old school, but the natives aren't friendly and the town is awful. Cricket ground is the place to drink, full of away fans.

Imagine Satan necking nine pints of Guinness and following up with a prawn phal with egg and cabbage. Then imagine the dump the following morning.

Burnley is worse.
