Bentekes movement is a class above. The reason we have more chances with the same amount of balls in to the box is because he is in areas where he can make use of them. His hold up play when we are under the Kosh is a million times better than Wickham, it gives us a genuine out. Wilham needs to learn from him the same way We wanted Gayle to learn from Murray about being smart and buying free kicks etc.

I don't have the stats to back this up, but my impression is that Benteke inspires the full backs to make runs, because they feel something might happen. I think this used to be the case when Murray was playing. I am not suggesting that Murray was the same class as Benteke, just that the team knew where he was likely to be and were prepared to get forward and risk being caught out of position because they felt something good might happen. That attitude seems to be back, and the team is gelling.

I'd like to think Wickham is watching Benteke and will be able to learn from him- not necessarily in the goal scoring but more the movement and hold up play, where Benteke just oozes class. Could make Wickham a better player if he gets his head down and works at it. But as things stand, Benteke is a better player in every department
