A small collection of pensioners doesn't represent this country in terms of belief.

Those days are long gone. What politicians say when they are looking to court the post 65 vote....who are far more likely to vote....what they say bears little connection to the real reality.

I'm a secularist and I have no desire to change Christian traditions....The religious significance has largely been lost to most people. I don't believe to forcing people to change.

Outside of a majority call for change I don't see these rituals and traditions going. I'm fine with that.

I think you will find that a large number of those 'Christians' are cultural Christians....Church attendance figures pretty much prove it. I didn't give it much thought until I was in my early thirties and it was only after that....only after that reflection and looking at the evidence, reading books, talking to clear minded people that I realised that holding onto these myths was a dishonesty to myself. It will be interesting to see how these"children" get on at school when they are in a mixed classroom with 14/15 year old girls....time will tell. always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.
