I believe it was originally a baseball stadium in the 1890's - or maybe that was a wind-up.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Ayresome Park always had a great atmosphere too.

I get ya.

Places like The Dell or The Baseball Ground.

Why was it called The Baseball Ground?

when I saw this thread I thought of the baseball ground , standing in the bottom tier there was metal fencing between us and them , we went 1 down then got 1 back. we are then banging on the fence goading them , then they scored and I remember one palace fan getting his cock out and pissing at the derby fans through the fence . now thats a proper "premier league match day experience "

Madjeski Stadium. Love it, 20 minutes walk and I'm home, as opposed to the two and a half hours to and from Selhurst park.

Loftus Road for me too. Cup Quarter final when C,Allen scored Was mental. Probably the worst i have seen our fans react.
Portsmouth and the Old Goldstone groundss were always great.
Worst, Wolves and Sheff Utd, Ambushed at Sheff Utd and lucky nobody got killed by bricks and paving slabs being dropped from above.

As was Roker, has always been a good crack in the North East.

loved that quaint old Selhurst Park that Wimbledon played at once.....easy to get to yet the facilities were like something form the 70's and felt strange staring at my empty season ticket seat in another stand
