I see what you're saying but those film set actors couldn't achieve what she did in a TV studio set over 104 episodes a year. Very few actors can keep their audience hanging on every sentence in every episode. That is skill.

I just feel sorry for people who seem to define their lives through a f*cking soap opera. Ok, RIP and all that but she wasn't exactly plucked from this life in the flower of her youth.

A great character actress in the great tradition of British character actors/actresses. They very rarely appear in soaps. However I have some respect for those who realise what they are, their limitation etc and settle for a regular paycheck. Like Adam Woodyat, they realise they're on to a good thing, and it pays for a good life for them and theirs. Especially wise maybe when you realise just how few 'soap superstars' manage to actually go beyond that. Nothing wrong with that.
