I was looking yesterday at the roof lines. The Arthur wait could be the same height as the Holmesdale easily. So could the other two sides. That would probably give us a 60,000 stadium.

On google earth you can see that the arthur is wider than the homes dale and the main stand can push back into the carpark. and the white horse can go up above sainsburys so plenty to go at if we are staying put.

Problem there is the houses behind the Arthur, raise the roofline will blockout day light. Club should buy the houses knock them down and put a clubshop, ticket office and fan zone there which will increase parking behind the mainstand and enable them to build a higher stand maybe.

yes there were also quite a few people looking at the roofline once more in the Holmesdale on Saturday wondering if someone will ever fix the guttering to stop the rain from pouring down on the front couple of rows and spoiling other peoples views of the match having to look at it through a waterfall!

I bet you can't buy season tickets for those seats unless you can prove you can swim!

You are correct about the Arthur Wait but our neighbours probably enjoy their daylight at the moment!

NIMBY's.

Beware.... there will be plenty of people queueing up to object to any plans we have to develop Selhurst and they'll probably put great crested newts and horseshoe bats in and around Selhurst to get their way and try to limit any increase in height claiming loss of daylight or increased traffic flow damaging their way of life etc.

Most objectors will be from the newest residents who bought their properties at a reduced price being totally aware of what having a Premier League football ground on your doorstep means in terms of living with the consequences.

it won't be an easy fight to get planning and will drag on for years I expect.

We'll have to shell out for compo and/or improvements to the local community to grease the wheels.

The average price of houses in Park Road is £400K and flats £250K; not exactly bargain basement.

I wasn't saying that Dave.

Without SP being there those houses might be worth £500K and the flats £300K.

They have a motive to prevent further development is my point.

Really is very poor (excuse the pun)but people affected should get a hefty refund on their tickets.

That photo is not good. But I remember being on the homesdale before the roof. Luckily we don't get many match day monsoons.
