I thought we played pretty well today and did not look inferior to Leicester. Their finishing was better than ours though although I bet Fuch's shot would have usually been over the roof but somehow arrowed in against us.

I don't agree with all the earlier guff about Mandanda. Putting aside his aberration in the first ten minutes, I feel as though he has been a stabilising presence and has made some fantastic stops.

I've got two concerns.

The first is the quality of our left back. I was never actually terribly convinced by Soare, but in his absence, Kelly really doesn't look comfortable. Clearly Pardew doesn't have faith that Fryers can defend well enough, which is why he brings him on when we have entered 's*** or bust' mode.

The other concern is the quality of our holding midfielder. It seems to me that Jo Ledley is too slow and doesn't have the distribution. I do keep wondering why Pardew hasn't given Flamini a go at anchoring the midfield - Perhaps he's not fit enough yet? In any case, I feel as though we need an alternative to Ledley if we are going to control the midfield in games like this.

Contrary to earlier opinions, I feel as though Cabaye is beginning to show some form. But MacArthur looked out of spirits. I don't agree with the earlier point that Cabaye and MacArthur don't combine well. They did so fantastically at times last year.

Two, no, three, gripes..

Somebody please tell me why Delaney always chooses to lump the ball forward? I lost count of the number of times he lofted the ball forward and I turned to my girlfriend and said 'Nothing will come of this. Leicester will take possession back' And low and behold!

Andros, we know that you can cut inside, create a bit of space and score (very occasionally) from twenty yards. It must appear as though this is how you are going to make a name for yourself. But, please, just occasionally, when you cut inside have a look for another option... like feeding the ball to a fantastic centre forward we bought for 30 Million.

Last thing: What is Frazer Campbell doing on the bench? For God's sake please.

Good evening

MacArthur is far and away our best holding midfield player. Problem is the others can't change gear any more and play further forward Puncheon included.

I was never in favour of AP when appointed but have grown to respect the job he is doing. Our recent record is not good and our performance today typified that record. Wish I had the answers but cant put my finger on the problem.

1, We need to attack a little quicker.

2, We are a little lazy with helping each other out in defence.

3, Although long balls can be useful and profitable we do not at the moment have the capability to make any use of over 90% of them and anyway they go completely and utterly against the rules of keeping possession which strangely is what Mr Pardew wants.

This all means that some of the players on the pitch need to start listening a bit harder and some of them are not up to it and will be showed the exit door in January.

A little lazy helping each other out at the back. That's interesting. Other than the obvious thing of conceding, how is it that you are noticing that? I'd like to get your insight.

See, for me, MacAthur, who I really rate, is a more traditional box to box midfielder. I don't think he is so effective as an out and out holding midfielder who sits in front of the back four. Although you may be right, he may still be our best option at the moment.

I admired David Moyes who must have been so disappointed to lose, when it would have been a draw until the very last minute of the game - he clapped his team and the fans. I was disappointed to see Pardew just walk off. It would be nice if he had shown support to the players and to the fans.

An interesting stat for those who think we should have rolled Leicester over

Palace are only the fifth Premier League side to score against Leicester in their last 16 home games

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Some of you lot have let our success get to your heads. I wasn't expecting to beat Leicester before today, and considering we didn't play as badly as the scoreline suggests, I think everything is okay. My only concern is the over-reliance on Benteke, but hopefully that'll be fine when Remy's back.

Next 5:
Liverpool (H) L
Burnley (A ) W
Man s***ty (H) L
Swansea (A ) W
Soton (H) D

7/15... bang average mid-table form.

Sorry - holding midfield probably too specific but certainly the best of the four when the opposition have the ball and the most mobile. Also arguably the most comfortable on the ball in our third.

Cabaye and Puncheon better attacking and have a bit more guile in the opposing half IMO but have lost the speed of foot needed to make it tell. Also think opposition have wised up to letting Puncheon get the ball on his left around their area and that his right isn't up to much.

Read the fact man, and open up your eyes.
just think about last season, welll we ended as nr 15, not far from the drop right?

You really are clueless.

Who cares? Last season is over - and it was a successful season.

We're doing OK this season, today with the rub of the green we could've taken something out of the game. You think that was crap? It was typical Palace.

Either support the club or jog on

That is my point, never know what your going to get. I really don't fear for us at all just wish we could be a tad more consistent.

LOL - but that's not the Palace way. I wish it was but even when we're 2 up its still squeaky bum time.
