Gosh the money must be bloody good. Saudi Arabia executes one person every 2 days and has a dreadful human rights record.

He'll be back shortly unless they they lock him up first probably with a tattoo of his favourite Prince!

Don't have the same hatred for him as some but don't think he's terribly good either. I wonder if this job takes him off of the UEFA list as well.

Pleased to see tha back of him quite frankly.
He has really cost us over the last few years - the FA Cup Final being the worst.
What a T**T!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

The only sad thing is that he's leaving the premier league the same season we are, so it's irrelevant.

Does this increase his chances of refereeing the World Cup because he's attached to a different FA?

The very fact that a ref move like this is big news tells you everything that is wrong with the whole setup. In a match Clattenburg makes it all about him and not the players and so it is off the field too. In truth, if a ref is doing his job properly he is not noticed at all, and who the ref is for a particular game should not matter; so the fact that this ref is leaving and being replaced with (presumably) another should not even be news.

But it is, because Clattenburg thinks football is about him.

NO.....

He is going to be 'Head' of the Saudi Referees set up, he may or may not actually Ref games whilst he is there, BUT as he is English & has now quit the 'Elite' set up in this country, he, therefore becomes homeless as in NOT able to Ref in Europe or WC games(unless he takes Saudi citizenship).
