I'd suggest we go have a chat with United. They need to trim there squad and we need to add.

Sell Townsend for double what we paid (that is if he really isn't happy)

Buy a left back and left sided winger.

Shaw and Young on loan with buy option for both / either would be class.

Now if we can get £25M for Townsend that might be enough for Shaw and Young combined.... obviously wages on top.

But still we have money in the bank so should be able to push it through.

Then in the summer we need to pick up a centre back, DM and striker.

If we get half of what we paid for Mr Sulky we'll be doing well

Ashley Young would do great (winger and left back), think Luke Shaw won't consider Palace as next stop.

The left of the side looks weak, losing both Bolasie and Soauare has cost us points this season. We need a left back and a winger. The tomkins move last weekend looked promising but we need an EPL quality LB Townsend and Zaha are not happy on left and with Zaha possibly at AFCON we need another winger preferably LW. We need a striker to support/cover Benteke. I can't see Remy being fit so I hope he goes back to Chelsea. I wonder if they would be interested in recalling Tammy abraham and then loaning him to us instead. Arsenal also have some strikers not getting games or returning to fitness and I wonder if they would be interested in a loan deal

With Pardrew gone hopfully, i think we should get the following in:

LB Amavi from Villa

ST Ulloa from Leicester

Where we are now is pretty obvious we need 2 defenders and another centre forward. We are rotating 5 defenders at the back, largely with Kelly so should know the level we require. If Tekkers gets injured we are right in it so any improvement on Campbell is the level. An attacking midfielder is now further down the shopping list. Taking all of this into consideration we cannot skimp in this window, not go silly with the cheque book but put in strong realistic bids from the off. Crucial to get the players in though as presently we are no better than the likes of Swansea, Hull, Boro, Sunderland etc. and also they will be looking for the same players. I think our season hinges on doing this window right. If we get it wrong I think we will really be in trouble.
