yes agree - have to say also that the tabloids reached a new low this morning.

Particularly The Sun darkening the skin colour of the person who brought the case against the Government - and with a nod to another topic - editing out the poppy she was wearing

According to some, the sun didn't do that, but the times did lighten her skin tone.

After you posted I did some more research and there does seem something unreliable about how skin tone appears - especially in a cut down photo.

Now has the Sun earned the benefit of the doubt by its history of fair reporting or is their front page fair and even handed.....hmmmm

Amazes me that anyone buys The Sun. Andrex is softer and doesn't leave you with ink all over your arse

It's a shame this will undoubtedly perpetuate the debate over everyone's right to not wear one. I prefer a situation where everyone does whatever the fcuk they want. At least there's now a white poppy. I suppose that's progressive rather than the traditional protest response.

Obviously illogical angle from FIFA when you consider Blatter allowed it.

I've never thought of the poppy as a political symbol. A fuss over nothing from FIFA. They should get their own house in order.

Sadly it's been politicised by knobs on the left and right.

How much was the fine for Argentina when they actually held a banner up over the Falklands?

I wear my poppy with pride for personal reasons. Anyone that doesn't like it can f*** off for all I care.

I will remember every single person that sadly died protecting us and all that still do. They were/are out there protecting us, not hiding behind a keyboard.

Mclean doesnt help himself though. Turned his back on the English national anthem before a match, chose to play for the republic instead of northern ireland for political reasons and has made no secret of how he feels about the English.

If he hates the English so much then why doesn't he naff off back to Derry City instead of continually biting the English hand that feeds him so well.
