Clearly the defensive coaching needs to change. I'd get an experienced ex defender on the payroll as soon as possible and allow them space to develop the back line.

Can't we get an experienced defender actually on the team?

Not much point sacking him after that game we will lose anyway. The way we defend i can see City scoring 7 against up. Get rid now and bring in Allardyce to teach our buffoons how to defend

No thanks. Kermit the Frog would be a better choice.

I think Millen is part of the problem. Perhaps if Pardew had a better no 2 to help sort us out defensively then we wouldn't be in this position? We shall see what happens during this international break. It's a good time to make a change if it is going to happen?

Forget Millen, time to bring in a real fighter,Big Sam.

Do you have any idea of when that might be because we've been waiting since mid December 2015???

We supposedly have experienced and leaders at the back in Dann, Delaney, Mandanda and Cabaye. On of them should have taken charge there. Cabaye I think it was was not deep enough, which left I think Dann on his own.

Also think the Ledley substitution was a mistake.

Not looking for a scapegoat but still remain at a total loss on how this bloke gets to play Prem AND International football.

This team reminds me of holloways blackpool ream when they were promoted. Doesn't matter who we play we're going to push players forward and attack them. Don't worry about defending.
If we play like this against city we'll get hammered.

Having said that, what a game!

No, I'm not having this - It wasn't their defensive nous that prevailed, it was woeful defending and our lack of defensive nous that cost us.

I meant in reference to our previous managers. I'd rather have pardew losing and winning games and us reaching finals, flirting with the top half of the PL over us having say TP in charge, being defensively shrewd winning 1-0 every week and reaching Europe and closing out games like today. I like to be entertained, the middle reaches of the prem and even the Thursday night cup are pretty boring without a bit of flair

On BBC Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham:

"We just got excited and went for all three points at 2-2 when maybe we should have held out for the draw."

Who exactly was making the decisions at the death then ?

When he came on I thought he'd been brought in to give cover at the back - I got that wrong then.
