Whilst I think we're coming to the end of Pardew's tenure, he's still 3 or 4 games away from the sack. I can see a win against Swansea or Hull away being enough to keep his job for now. Southampton at home will be a huge fixture if we don't get anything from the next 2.

Half of our first team would not automatically command a place in these other lower Prem teams due to their, and it's simple really, footballing ability.

it's not Pards fault that we still lack 4 or 5 players whom we need to make the team complete and a 50-60pt Prem team season in season out. He has only been with us 22 months and he inherited a much weaker squad. He's doing ok overall. Another year and a few more signings is what he needs and deserves. He kept us up when we seemed certs for relegation don't forget.

Be loyal.

Post of the season, Kermie. Absolutely totally on the money.

If only you were this astute politically.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Some of the football we played today was fantastic. Unfortunately some of our defending shouldnt grace Sunday morning football let alone the Prem. For the neutral today game would have been a superb advert for Prem football as was the Liverpool. Only Man City up next . 4-2,3-2 perhaps it will be 2-2.

Pardew seems to want to go tie to toe with teams, but doesn't seem to have worked out balance between attack and defence. You can't just throw 8 of 9 players forward at one time, you have to keep some sort of defensive shape. Yes we looked great in the second half having a go at Burnley, but in the end we may have been better parking the bus and counter attacking them. I'm not saying we should revert to counter attacking football, but maybe some games we should start ultra defensively and play our way into the game.

All these armchair tacticians. No wonder 2010 don't bother engaging on these boards any more.

More than enough for what? He inherited a team/club destined for relegation and a massive 22 months later they should be where exactly in your opinion?

Isn't that what boards like this are for? Or are we all supposed to agree with everything the manager and board do?

You, Gusset and a couple of others would always have an exemption.Re-education would be the objective.
