Just looking at the Championship right now & Newcastle are sitting at #1, due to come back up again automatically.
So over the last few years. QPR went down (all of these are from the EPL) and then came up next year; Norwich City went down only to come back up next year; last year Hull City went down only to come back up next year. In all these cases they went down/up/down.
Now it's happening to Newcastle.
I think we have to attribute it to the mitigation money a team going down gets. Although it doesn't happen to all of them, there seems to be one team each year that does the yo-yo-yo.
This just doesn't seem right.
