It is laughable that you are blaming Zaha for any of the goals conceded. Where were the full backs. Where were the centre halves. Who put in a superb cross for the goal that got us back in the game. You need some new glasses. And yes before you askei did see the whole game, and I do agree with the majority of our initial post.

I went to the game. We looked wide open defensively for the first 20 minutes. Kelly is not Premiership standard, Ward is far more effective on the right. Damo and Dann were playing like they had only met up 5 minutes before kick off. I don't think Dann is fully fit either. As for Steeeve....Hennessey would have been slaughtered for conceding that second goal. On the positive side....the players look like they are still playing for the manager. We dominated 70 minutes of the game, and when Wickham scored I genuinely thought we could go on to win the game. I think the players did too because instead of settling for a point and closing the game out, we got caught on the break for their third. Four defeats in a row is hard to take, and I don't think we've been thoroughly outplayed in any of them. However, we could and should be taking points from the likes of Burnley. My guess is Parish will accommodate the fact the City are next up and therefore expectations will not be too high. But lose at Swansea a week later and it will be hard to justify keeping Pardew in a job.

Harsh to blame Wilf for third goal, I was wondering what our defensive midfielder who reads the game wonderfully was doing standing in no mans land where he got bypassed easily and looked like he was going backwards when trying to chase back when he had been. If he is that slow surely he should have dropped further back before the free kick was taken. Is it coincidence Cabaye has not been on the pitch at the end of a Palace league win since April ?

I REALLY want Pardew to work out (not through any great love for the bloke or his Palace connections, just for a bit of stability), but we simply have to stop needing to change our gameplan halfway through games. We far too often give teams a headstart, then have a good 2nd half once we've worked out how to play against them. Why are we not doing enough homework to set up with a decent plan at the beginning?

Good point. Burnley are known for letting the opposition have the ball and playing on the break. I share your view re Pardew / stability - but tactically I'm not sure he's up to it.
