If he did get fired who else is out there, who is any good and would be interested in the Palace job given the current form and position?

If AP gets sacked it'll be because we're looking like we're going down.

If we get Fat Sam in early enough we won't go down.

Style and entertainment are secondary to SP and the owners and board and the sane fans who aren't sycophants.

Can AP really turn this around if he is not bothered about letting other teams score against us? if we cannot beat the likes of Bournemouth, WBA and West Ham at home what chance have we with Man City, hoping I'm wrong and pigs might fly!

Rudi, you could be right about Big Sam, he has certainly proved he can survive in PL but I cannot see SP et-al allowing it as he has been proven to be untrustworthy?

The only relief is I'm pretty sure Parish won't let it go on for much longer. Points mean survival and if you can only get them vs the very worst and only match other teams for 45 mins but with nothing to show for it then there's no future in it. It's like a gambler proud of his wins but silent over his losses.

For that reason there's no need to stress too much. But leave it too long and Fat Sam will have other offers.

You get round all that stuff by having rules of employment specified. Sometimes contracts aren't so thorough.

On the PR side both parties will sit down and prepare answers before scrutiny. This is football, not the Green Party.

..it is very frustrating to read, it's so obvious that losing is not something our players and manager want and it's so obvious our players and manager get on together and it's so obvious we deserve more points in almost every single game Mr Pardew has managed the team during draws and losses, just look and read all the reports of all the games..we are the majority of times always in it and fighting to the death, fans just love having someone to blame and to put their anger on, our problems are tiny in comparison to the problems of last season and it doesn't matter where any average team is in the table at this moment in time just as long as they continue to look like scoring every time they go forward and they are not cut adrift.

We are a tiny club with a tiny stadium and have tiny fans with huge expectations.

I don't think it's having huge expectations to expect us to be doing better than 16th, one point above the relegation zone, mid november, having dropped points to WBA, burnley and Bournemouth. .

Bit of an odd comment from AP. WIYH THE TALENT WE HAVE ON THE PITCH,if we are looking to entertain then for fxxcks sake go all out in attack and shoot far mor often. Idont think I've seen Benteke let fly yet from outside the box.
So what is our plan? If it is to entertain then let's go hell bent to attack. I would rather lose 6-5 than 1-0.
So come on, spell it out what are we up to. This worries me.

Not sure which is more bewildering. The clean sheet remark or suggestion that we play attacking front foot football particularly at home where we generally play really poorly first half and then chase the game second when we're losing.

Seriously think the bloke's delusional.

Well on reflection, they f**king should be at least by half time, when we decide to get going. Burnley we were 2-0 by half time, away from home, which is a serious setback to overcome.

We did that, and then decided to not bother defending and keep pushing for three points, and ended up with none. Which means if we lose to Man City, which is very likely, we'll dip under the 1pt per game average that's usually enough to stay up.

Problem with statistics are that of our 11 games so far only 4 have been against the current top 10 clubs.
Of the 4 clubs one is Burnley.
We have got big problems, hopefully we can arrest the issues quickly or we are doomed!

It's not a binary choice, defend or attack. The best managers get it right all over the pitch.

Wise words Willo. And of course he (AP) has a point. He would be wiser to make it after leaking goals and winning, rather then leaking goals and loosing but I for one enjoy watching us far more then under Pullis. Scott Dan was not quite at it Saturday, and thought Mc Arthur was having an unusual poor game too. Combine that with Ward not looking too comfortable on the left and we have some reasons why we did not perform as well as we can expect. Would still very much have deserved the point though after that second half display.

I believe all he was doing was implying that he is more 'Kevin Keegan' than 'Tony Pulis' that's all. But with his 'Stock' being somewhat low amongst many, anything he says will be met with criticism.

If he had said that clean sheets WERE his priority he would have met with a barrage of vitriol given that we haven't kept one for 17 league matches.

At the end of the day he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
