Spammers harvesting Holmesdale.net email address..

When I registered for this website, I created a 'disposable' email address that has only ever been used here. This disposable address has special characters within and would not be easy to guess by a bot. This week I have got two spam messages to that address, the latest offering me a 'opportunity' to work remotely for a salary of $2600-$5300. Whoopee-do!
But I'm surprised that anyone apart from me and the site owners would have access to my email address. Or am I missing something about how this website works?

Within a week of joining this forum I was bombarded with messages about P*nis Englargment Devices. That said, they were all from Jamie.

This site seems to use an advertising partner called Criteo. Criteo have got some clever/deceptive method of collecting email addresses of people browsing the site. I used to run Criteo ads on one of my websites util I realised what it was doing.

Thanks for that JP, I guess I can always turn the email address off but leave it showing as my email for the site's membership purposes? Just won't get any email updates then.
