Went to the O2 Arena today for the tennis.

Was amazed that I was stopped taking any food or drink (even water) inside the O2.

When the person I was with mentioned that the water was required to take medication, the water was still not allowed to be taken in just that we could get water from a tap inside.

As an example of prices when I got inside the price for tea was £3.00 a burger £8.00.

Didn't even think of checking as when I have been to sporting events before have never been stopped from taking food or non-alcoholic drinks in. I realise the O2 is not just for sporting events.

Just a warning if you haven't been there.

I agree with their stance. Its not as if you could not get water inside. They are a business and if they let everyone in with their own food and drinks they would make a hell of a lot less money. Sometimes when you have a night out you have to put your hand in your pocket.

Taking in bottled water is the same at Wembley or any other big venue.

There was a spell at Palace when they confiscated water bottles pre-entry but then limited it to removing the plastic bottle caps. (In case they were thrown onto the pitch!!!!).

Not had a problem taking in a complete bottle of water for years now.

What annoys me is its almost impossible to find anywhere to eat after a concert has finished in there. Last time I had to get a take away meal from square pie and eat it outside in mid December. And it gave me food poisoning.

Did you see the prices for the clothing?

£28 for a basic t shirt, I thought was steep.

Rip-off London is alive and well and continuing to fleece the masses. Surely it is the corporate sector who are the main beneficiaries of such events whilst us plebeians are probably better off getting ringside seat around the telly.

It's not just London You can't take your own food and drink into a lot of cinemas.

Almost all entertainment venues charge far too much for their food and drink, but you're a captive audience. So you like it or lump it.

At Brands Hatch last week people were buying hot drinks for £2-3 all day long.
