I have tackled him verbally and told him what I thought/told him to f**k off many times. He seems to enjoy that as he knows he's got away so long with not getting a hiding. He's the sort of person that only understands a hiding

personally, he'd have been picking up whatever he knocked over on day one as after asking (and probably getting a refusal), he'd have been speaking to management about it.

As others have said, keep a diary of 'events' don't goad or react negatively to whatever he does and if it doesn't get better, take it and the ACAS stuff to senior management asking for them to deal with it.

If that doesn't work, then and only then, kidnap one of his children or relatives, lock em in a dingy lock up somewhere, douse them in petrol and send him a video. - should work out fine.

You could email the boss, in his name, making all kinds of rude suggestions and impertinent comments.

OK this situation has escalated. I've had non stop abuse and even threats of if I tell anyone I will be dead and my family will get hurt. I wrote a long formal complaint to management and then the HR woman at work interviewed me and suspended the guy. When suspended, another dodgy guy at work that is a manager for one of the departments was seen by a witness going up to him and saying "Don't worry I will sort this". The guy that said that was meant to be in my meeting with the HR woman and I refused and told them what the witness had said. Nothing has been done about that except I had someone else come into the meeting instead. I gave them a list of people that have had issues with this guy and today they have got me into the meeting room and told me there is not enough evidence and that he will be back from tomorrow. It's such a dodgy company. Are they allowed to not take action etc? I had told them in the email how the situation has made me so stressed, depressed, anxious etc. No one listens.

If the situation has become untenable? Lawyer up & sue them for everything they own.

Yeah feels like you're getting to end of the road to be honest. Might wanna consider quitting then suing for constructive dismissal citing bullying and harassment. Check your home insurance policy- many include legal cover and that actually includes employment disputes so you can get a lawyer for free.

Get signed off with WORK RELATED stress. You have to get it badged as that. That way it is classed as an incident at work. Fill in a form ACC1 (Accident at work form including the latest incident as the issue.

Both of these up the anti and make it v formal. Work legally have to investigate this and have a duty of care to deal with the incident (in your csse that caused the stress.)

Your employer may seek to suggest it's not an accident at work or that the stress was not caused by work but there is shedloads of precedent case that demonstrates work related stress can be dealt with in this way.

Probably too late for a union now, lots will not take on a case which pre dates you joining but try a no win no fee employment lawyer gets you out with dignity and dosh.

There's a nasty bloke at my work who's been winding me up for some time. Always immature and knocking over piles of stock I have stacked at work etc. I've wanted to lay into him and give him a hiding for the last year or 2 that he's been here but I don't do things like that these days as I have a Mrs and a kid and rent to pay so cant afford to be losing my job. This guy bullies and upsets another couple of the guys at work too. He's been reported a couple of times but no one seems to care and he makes people's life a misery at work especially me as I'm always full of anger and wish I could do something about the without getting into trouble and losing my job. Today I find out myline manager has been promoted and I got called into the meeting room for my boss to tell me the Bully has been given the job to be my supervisor. I said it's a joke and how could someone so immature and someone who upsets people and winds them up etc be given the job and my boss just said the decision is final. He called the Bully in to the room and he acted all innocent like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth and said "there will be no trouble from me" but for weeks he has been winding me up saying "I'm going to be your boss and you ain't going to last long when I'm incharged" building up till today. When we left the room he had a smirk on his face. It's going to be hell working under him and I have so much built up anger where I want to hit him so I don't have a clue how the hell I'm going to keep calm when he's up to his usual immature shananigans. I have been going home from work depressed over the last year from all the stress he causes which has been effecting me and my finances relationship. Is there any law against promoting someone who has caused all this grief? Is there anything that can be done about it? I thought there was rules against someone being chose for a job role without anyone else being consulted who might have wanted the job themselves or at least be interviewed for it? I can't believe what a joke of a company it is here to not care and to be happy to have someone like him making people's life hell. I know nothing about this sort of thing. Is there anyone I could talk to to give advice on actions that can be taken?

Start and regularly update a diary that records noteworthy incidents (e.g. date/ time/ identity of any witnesses / behavioural activity details) Can you discreetly round up any fellow employees receiving similar treatment to undertake the same procedure before collectively referring evidence to his line manager? Are you also with a union who can represent your professional interests? Can you also furtively record via phone app etc anything that is spoken to back up recorded evidence?

In Education, there is zero tolerance attitude towards professional bullying...unless the Senior Leaders are responsible for dishing it out and are then consequently opening themselves up to dismissal. Treat others with respect and then others will return the favour...

I have been given a line manager that will go between me and the Bully so I dont have to interact with him and that's there decision now. All though I will still see him in corridors/toilets and when unloading lorries from deliveries etc. They have just given me this letter. I have tried crossing out names using a app on my phone so I apologise for the mess. And by they way they told me I could have a work colleague present but said nothing about a union..
