That's why it looks serious - because its only the start of a messy and expensive divorce we even continue to pay into the EU until 2030 and frankly even without the Brexit we are so deep in debt they can't hide it for ever.

The whole Western world is in debt but not but not as bad off as the Russians. What does it all mean?

Brexit could just be our saving grace in the end.Especially if Trump chooses to do trade deals with us and not Europe.

The US system of one president handing over to another is something we don't have - its good for getting the new guy in and familiar with his brief - unlike us with Mrs May nuclear buttons on day 1.

The Trump message to Mrs May is 'if ever you are over drop in' and Obama says that if anyone had a special relationship with us over the last 8 years it was Germany not UK.

Thats a brush-off well deserved.

Exactly we have far to many MPs.....and come to that to many local politicians skimming your hard paid taxes

I'm guessing the matter of the monarchy already having paid for it in taxes as been highlighted. But did someone tell John McDonnell?

Buckingham Palace is owned by the Crown Estates, not the Queen, as such its technically an asset of parliament.

We should do with it, what we do with everything else people love in the UK, knock it down to build some massively overpriced uber-modern ugly glass apartments, to sell to people who'll probably only spend six weeks a year there, or have purchased them as money laundering assets.

But it will be ok, because the developer will provide the local council with some vague social project - that they'll later turn into flats.

Its unlikely the US won't do trade deals with the EU, given its one if not the largest trade block in the world and consists of 27 countries (when you include EEA countries). Somehow I don't see US companies being too happy with being shut out of those markets by their own president.

This is a bit confusing but are you talking about the TTIP deal between US and EU as its collapsed after 3 years talks apparently irreconcilable differences very different economies.
