There's too much negativity in your post to warrant a detailed reply to all of it.
You miss the point, I'd rather have 17000 proper fans with realistic expectations than what we have at the moment. If we'd actually outlayed commitment to improving the ground, I'd tend to agree about mid table mediocrity for a couple of years. That's the lasting legacy that this tenure should be remembered for. As it stands though nothing is happening in terms of actual outlay, planning, bricks etc, so if we went down there's no harm done. The 17k love Selhurst for what it is and the 26k capacity will cater for bigger games. The championship is regarded as a level playing field bar the promoted and relegated teams, and imo the prem is not too different with the huge influx of money on the table. Outside the top 6 it's a free for all, that excites me, personally don't care if we finish 7th or 17th as long as we go for it and are entertained. Exception to this is I'd quite like to see us in Europe, although most bizarrely wouldn't because they're too embroiled and worried for the money for each league place. As per before, until that first brick is laid I don't give a flying f*** whereabouts in the middle of the prem we finish. If we were at that point now, I'd be more open to a change of manager because wed have far more to lose. At this point relegation would mean losing a handful of our better players and lower crowds, I personally think with pards in charge wed cone straight back up and be exactly where we are now, just in need of a new Zaha and benteke (who'd leave if we went down)
