I haven't seen any hysteria; realism, pragmatism, justifiable concern yes, but hysteria no. What I have noticed however is for those in denial to resort to insults when they have nothing to offer by way of justification for their groundless belief that good times are always just around the corner...or the corner after that...or the one after that...

Agreed.....all these results will do (if they go according to prediction)is paper over the cracks. The problems with AP are deep rooted with a guy not for turning.

Us conceding the goal had nothing to do with the change from 4-4-2. I thought Benteke looked knackered and made sense to get an extra man in midfield. Then Kelly inexplicably puts the ball out for a corner and no one concentrates

I disagree. Reverting back to the same tactics and formation we had when we were losing earlier in the game, cost us this game. Once again, we walked away with nothing despite a decent performance. We can't keep doing that.

I've been patient with AP until now, but it's wearing very thin.

For me, a lot of it comes down to whether you blame AP or the players for the details/organizational failings that are costing goals (putting general play to one side for a moment).

Ultimately he's the manager, it's his team that he has signed (in large part), picked and trained over the last two years, he has to carry responsibility. Of course if it's the odd shocker these happen, but we're seeing the same kind of defensive incompetency week after week now.

That he came out and said 'clean sheets are not my priority' was the final straw for me, and absolutely ridiculous thing for a manager to say when he side are shipping goals. If you were a defender in that side, what does that tell you? His priority is not to improve you or the defence? Appalling management IMHO

Lose to Swansea and he really should be sacked. The worry is that would open the door for Chris Coleman, which to me underlines a shocking lack of imagination from the board, but there we go...

Have we gone any further as a team than we would have done under Pulis ?

An emphatic NO from me, especially after watching them tear Burnley a new one last night.

And we have a better squad !!!!

Yes, me too. Until then I was on the fence; that told me he doesn't have the right attitude to manage in adversity.

I don't think you will get many disagreements that Pulis is a better manager than Pardew and most would of preferred him to stay.
Unfortunately Pulis is a man who has a track record of greed, fraud and a questionable moral compass. Trying to steal £1m off Parish means he will never darken our door again.

The key seems to be motivation over 90 (plus) minutes. We were playing Pulis style (a little worried about the development of scoring three goals) with the bus parked (solid defence), but swift counter attacks, and are now playing the Pardew extra goal style, of required young schoolboy moments followed by recovery, (entire team going for goal, following going one down, which almost happen brought results against Burnley (draw to win) and City (one down to level). The football currently played by Palace is crisp and entertaining and, hopefully, it is just a matter of time until we are not playing like England - who went from two up at 89 minutes to a draw at the final whistle. Our squad is good enough (City were time wasting and falling over) to win and being Palace we need downs to go with our ups. I am confident that were AP required to leave, his successor would have difficulty not having a ten game winning run.
