Just watched the ITV news again and still can't see any political bias there. The newsreader was wearing a red dress/top though.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

News on the tele is like everything else on the tele. There's more of it, so there is more to complain about.
If you are worried about left wing bias, you should be able to sleep soundly, as it does not seem to change things.
Unless you think News Inc backed New Labour was left wing, rather than just being alarmingly short termist chancers (leading a well meaning support).
In which case what you are wanting is not just victory but total annihilation.

That is a good call, but there are also:

Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media, by Edward S. Herman and Noam Chomsky

Media Control the Spectacular Achievements of Propaganda, CHOMSKY, Noam, Published by Secen Stories Press, New York (2002)

And also [Link] is great for an analysis of recent bias stories in the owned and certainly not free press.

I find it ironic that the nationalist/patriotic mood in our society is generated by a press that is universally owned by billionaires who either don't live here or refuse to admit they live here for tax purposes.

Flat Earth News is a bit repetitive. It could have all been about half the length and you'd have still got the same narrative. But it does make some important points, which are becoming more pertinent as the print media becomes less and less profitable and there is a greater demand for instant gratification of news.

I'm with Bert. There are none so blind as those who will not see.
