When I said it was "one of the worst defensive performances" I was including the semi-finals of the 2014 World Cup in that. It's really hard to overstate how f***ing appalling it really was.

Pardew has proved beyond any doubt that he's just incapable of setting up a team to close out a game and I'm fed up with seeing decent players shipping stupid goal after stupid goal after stupid goal and having their confidence and energy sapped to the point where they don't know where the tunnel is at the end of the game.

What he's turned us into is a disgrace and anyone who thinks it's magically going to stop is delusional.

With Wickham prone to injury it was a mistake (and pound foolish) to let Gayle and Murray go. Even we have Messi he won't score many goals due to Pardew's tactics and style of play. Both Gayle and Murray were quite jelled into the team but many here would disagree.
