Personally don't see things as black and white as 'he's lost the dressing room'. PL players are paid fortunes and it is foolish for them to not do their best -- they could lose their starting spots or get a reputation as a sulker/trouble maker. The financial ramifications of either are pretty big. They also have professional pride.

I honestly don't know -- who does? But specifically on Wilf for a moment...he pushed for the Man U move and asked to leave in the summer. So if we are to make him WANT to stay, then a manager he believes in strongly would be great.

I am obviously commenting from the viewpoint that he's a goner which seems to be what most fans now want.

Anyone think Shaun Derry has a chance, He lacks experience at this level but has Been in management at lower level for 3 years or so now and is currently doing a good job at Cambridge with no money. I don't think we are going to be able to attract a top Manager, So might as well look to the future. The talk or Coleman, Hodgson, fat Sam and the like have had there chance and never really done anything in Management. So why not try someone younger like Bournemouth did

A new manager should not be such a big make or break deal.
What's needed is a half dozen football coaches, with a Head Coach who is replaceable according to performances.
A change of one all powerful manager to another should not be allowed to make a big difference to a club.
Whether a "football man" conman or "football philosophy" charlatan they should be told to concentrate on their job of making players play.
Of course if the people in charge's infrastructure is not yet ready then you just have to take a punt.
