Neville has a point. The players are letting Pards down at the minute. Palace have some fantastic players but they just aren't pulling their weight at the minute.

Against a team who are good frpm set pieces, we gave away 24 free kicks..Pardew's fault?

The manager instructs the players and over too many games the end result is juvenile. It's over.

The players need to start listening to instructions from the manager and his coaches. It was only the other week Pards said one of his players didn't pass on instructions to the other players whilst defending a set piece, and the opposition scored from it. The players need to start listening to what they are told from Pards.

Pards got us to the cup final last season so he is obviously a great manager.

Last 2 paragraphs:

"Pardew must stay positive too. He was clearly very disappointed straight after the Swansea game but sometimes as a manager you cannot do anything about a defeat.

He just has to accept what went wrong, keep working hard and hope that, when it comes to stopping set-pieces, the penny will eventually drop for his players."

...If that is the extent of his 'analysis', I think I see why it went so badly for the Nevilles at Valencia.

One big thing that Neville has missed in his analysis is the selection of Martin Kelly at left back. If you can bear to watch today's game again in full, you will see that our biggest problem today was Kelly. We were totally in control of that game and deserved to be 1-0 up. However, Swansea knew our weakness and put all their attacks down their right (our left).

Kelly was either beaten by that Barrow or fouled him/gave away a corner every single time he went near him. I accept that our defending from set pieces is laughable (at best) but don't forget, you've got to give away a set piece in the first place to concede from one.

Pardew has to take the blame for playing Kelly again when we have Fryers available.

I would also add that we look ridiculously unfit and off the pace after about 60 minutes in every game. Pardew should take some blame for that too.

I'm sorry but anyone suggesting that Delaney starting or being captain would of made the slightest bit of difference is deluded.

He has been past it and over the hill for sometime now.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I think we are all missing an important point: 'captaincy'. Jedinak captained with ferocity when the team looked disorganised or confused. Pardew's recent excuses about messages not getting out to players is the indicator that there's no-one managing the players on the pitch. Pardew let Jedinak go (rightly perhaps) but he simply was too stupid not to see the deficit in captaincy. He should have replaced Jedinak with a strong leader or kept him until such time as one was available. TP created a 5 man defensive unit with Jedinak plugging holes and being in charge. Pardew's hope that Dann could do Jedi's job was a MISTAKE. Pardew then went further and replaced Delaney with Tomkins. Delaney supported Jedi's captaincy at the back. Pardew has ruined a good defence and captaincy. The team is being captained from the bench. You cannot fault the players' committment when they fight back from 3-1 to get to 3-4. They simply lack any sense of unity of purpose when trying to defend. They are all looking around for instructions and motivation and there is no-one there fit to do it.

Why are any of you surprised by their performance? Their manager actually came out and publicly said he doesn't care about them, albeit in different words. It's absolutely ludicrous.

Neville is partially correct do blame the players. Especially Scott Dann as Captain. There is ZERO in-Match Leadership shown by Scott Dann week in and week out. But I think my criticism of the players stops there. The lack of preparation leading up to Match Time falls squarely at the feet of Alan Pardew and his coaching staff. There appears to be Zero Accountability both on and off the pitch from Pardew and his staff. That is what we witnessed yesterday at Swansea and also how you lose at Swansea.

Plain and simple. Hardly like any of them.are new to the footballing world or the premier league. 20th highest wage bill in Europe. They should know what they are doing ffs

From what I understand there is very little respect for him at the club and when that happens players switch off. Just put yourself in their position, you have a manager who never accepts responsibility for the teams failings with yesterday as a classic example sighting that "there will be changes". Hopefully Alan there will be ....you!
