Well, 35 minutes as he should've allowed 30 mins extra fuel.

He had to perform a holding manoeuvre in mid-air which is why he doubled back on himself in a loop. He then stressed to air traffic control that there was an electrical problem and that he was low on fuel....

Guess the electrical fault could have meant that the fuel gauge wasn't displaying correctly, giving him a bigger problem then he first thought?

Anyway, tragic news. RIP the dead, get well soon the survivors. I understand the keeper has had a leg amputated and may need his other foot removed too?

It's tragic but it's the survivors that baffle me. How do you survive a plane crash?

The flight attendant suggests that people were up out of their seats and shouting, he adopted the brace position and got lucky.

I know that the brace position is actually just to protect your dental records but it may just have saved him...

No flames or explosion either, that would have helped save those who survived.

It wasn't a holding manoeuvre, he didn't know where the airport was - he asked for directions from air traffic control.

The electrical fault was the engines stopping due to lack of fuel, they provide the power.

Optimistic as ever

Puts our woes in a little bit of context.
