Having travelled back from Burnley and Swansea and chatted to many angry (and slightly pist away fans) it seems Pardews' job is untenable for a 100 different reasons. Two main replacements have come up Manchini and Big Sam. After going through the potential Pros and cons (and dismissing the return of Venables, Alan Smith and Stevey Kember) Big Sam makes total sense hear me out:

1. He fits the Parish profile in regards to experience in league, improving infrastructure at training ground, can handle the bigger egos we now have at club like Benteke and Cabaye, although will utilise the old school pros like Delaney too as he's old school. He guarantees motivation and discipline that we've clearly lost this season. Basically a mix of the best bits of Pards and Pulis. ( replacing brown envelopes for dodgy touch line dancing and bad trainers)
2. Has a point to prove, has settled in London before, is fresh out of the league and I'm sure would have an immediate Impact over this important Xmas run with lots of points on offer. I would argue he would plateau out but should produce I instant improvement if only at set plays and a more defensive mind set. I'm sure he'd get more work rate from Benteke too.
3. I think he would fancy it, we have the money to throw at him in bonuses and salary (as Parish said in summer money been held back for jan if things were going wonky. Well they are Steve.) Also I think players like Dann, Mcarthur and Benteke be right up his street. He'd put an arm round the stroppy ones like Wilf, Townsend and Cabaye. He also would add some power in midfield in the window I'm sure like he did at West Ham and Sunderland with big strong midfield signings.
So despite not believing he's any good for a top 6 side or international team. Our current squad that's a mixture of top players and championship level players I feel he would bring a balance of old school and new school and appeal to both types. Thus making him weirdly for me a perfect appointment bar the recent baggage and potential to grow an old school Movember......

I'm beginning to think I'd take almost anyone as long as he doesn't have already CPFC on his CV.

Would rather Hodgson than Big Sam.

Hodgson got Fulham in to europa league semi final.

has managed all over europe.

speaks 6 or 7 languages.

he would really want to be a success at his home town club.

and he'd probably bring Ray Lewington back to the club who is a top coach.

Far from perfect but he could be exactly what we need right now.

It isn't working with teflon in charge, even if he were to win the next two games, it would surely only be a matter of time before our next winless run and we'd be back to where we are now.

Not a massive fan of Big Sam but he fits the Palace role perfectly. A decent team that just needs a bit of organisation and confidence then we will win games. I think any manager would fancy the Palace job as long as Parish doesn't wait to long with before admitting Pardew is done so the new manager is given enough time to get us out of trouble.

Its a no brainer. I heard Dominic Fifield on the radio saying that Pardew has worked a lot on the back four lately but the players cant or wont comply with his orders. Big Sam would kick our players *rses until they get the message. Forget gung ho football if we want to stay in this league

Just imagine this scenario :

We persevere with Pardew, Allardyce is appointed by another club, things go from bad to worse for us and we are sucked into a real relegation battle. The one manager one would want in this situation is Allardyce and he is unavailable.

My goodness - you can just imagine the flak that will be aimed at the 'Board' - will all become very toxic indeed.
