Good on yer mate. A few wins and we'll all be saying what a super manager he is.

Pardew season 1: Achieved a top half finish. Season 2: Reached the FA Cup final and kept us up.

Season 3: We're only a 3rd of the way through the season.

All this talk of the record in 2016 is ridiculous. Titles and relegation are decided on results over a season not a calendar year. Leicester are probably one of the best teams over the calendar year yet they are down near relegation. Chelsea are top of the league and have had an awful overall year. Lets not twist things Pardew has not had a single season you can call a bad season overall.

Furthermore is there any manager that could come in and do a better job? The buffoon Allardyce? Jurgen Klinsmann? Bitches please. We sack Pardew and we go down just like what happened to Newcastle when they got ideas above their station. Pardew should be given til at least end of this year.

If by some miracle he survives this coming Saturday, we now need some heavy investment in players in January.

I wouldn't trust Pardew's choices based upon his record in the market in the last 2 years.

He should have been sacked after the FA Cup Final. Pity he wasn't.

correct, two wins in 19 PL games would qualify him for that at most clubs!

Most games are being well contested and lost by a single goal and except for some crap referee decisions we could be holding the FA Cup. The difference is one or two world class defenders.

The post was titled "in defence of Pardew". He said early on in the season that this was going to be a season of transition. At the time i thought it was odd as nothing much looked to have changed.
14 games in and you can see Pardew has been trying to get the team to play more expansive football and create more chances. In my mind this is a positive and this has been achieved. To do this he has played mainly offensive midfielders. A side effect of this is we are getting exposed defensively. Do we not now need to just improve our defence ?
One of the criticism's of our managers since we have been promoted is we can't attract better players. Perhaps if our style of play is more offensive the better players will be keen to join us?
Short term pain for long term gain?
Appointing someone like Big Sam will probably mean we will go back to Pulis style soccer get the results but by looking to keep a clean sheet and picking up goals from set pieces. Will this not be a backwards step?

There were quite a few of us (me included) who pointed out that we had started well but had only played poor teams and those out of form but the real test was still to come

We are ranked 92/92 in FL, we have won five games since last Christmas we lose to teams we should be beating in the bottom half of the table, we have conceded more goals than any other team in PL, we are only out the bottom three on goal difference, AP has spent more money on a team than any other manager in CP history, is that being a well contesting team?

Are you related to AP?

Poor prep taking his eye off the ball in 1st game v West Brom.

International break and then West Ham.

We have only beaten a poor Stoke at the time, Sunderland and Mboro.

We let in 2,3,4,5 goals a game and you have die hard players falling asleep and others falling out with him on a monthly or is it weekly basis now? He's ripped the spirit and glue out of the squad and I'm not surprised following his previous treatment of players and other shenanigans. And what about the 'if your dinner looks nicer than mine then we swap' type bullying at West Ham. He's had a good run but it's over.

Sunderland survived by getting Sam in early. Newcastle left Benitez too late. We can do one or the other.

But one thing's for sure. The population living up Pardew's arrogant rectum has dwindled to about 6 people.

Well said on all points. We need to get fat Sam in before it's too late. Nobody is to blame except Pardew himself. He's enjoyed time, money and the full backing of the board. What on earth was he thinking in the off season? Just rock up and beat WBA? They should have been seriously prepped for that starting game of the season given our terrible 2nd half season. Proved to me again that the man is not up to it. Puncheon won us the FA Cup and Pards celebrated when he should have been yelling for the guys to man-mark and see-out the game. He's broken the spirit.

Reality is that AP has been found wanting for nearly a whole year regardless of which players he plays; what style of play he chooses to play or what tactics he employs.
There is a not a job or prefession anywhere that you get that long to continually cock it up without being relieved of your duties!
Time to go!
