Pushing your anti AP agenda on a thread related to one of our players who has an injury that could keep him out of action for a year is well OTT in my opinion.

Because it's hardly an injury crisis at our club is it? Remy, Souare and now Wickham.

Yes it is crap that Wickham is out the rest of the season and I wish him a speedy recovery but it's hardly shocking is it? The man is made of glass. Him and Remy as backup to Benteke is not the mark of a genius.

This Wickham injury is just another example of how wafer thin our squad is. It wasn't necessarily about pushing anti-Pardew views but that someone somewhere needs to get the money out and sort this.

Yes I know what the situation is thanks. However, to suggest AP is responsible for Remy and Wickham's injuries is absurd beyond belief and to include Souare in that diatribe of yours is ridiculousness personified - what was AP driving the other car?

Look I am not either for or against AP - very much on the fence and I fully understand why a large percentage of fans want him out. However, we need to be sensible and sure have a go at what he does wrong but do not turn every thread into a club to beat him with.

No, Pardew was not driving the car. What he did do was assume that nothing could ever possibly happen to the clubs only competent left back.

I'm not using every thread to beat Pardew to death with but we have 1 capable striker and 0 capable left backs whilst in a relegation fight. I do put that down to him. A player like Connor Wickham (not consistent and on the fringes of first team) should not be a crisis when he gets injured. However, it is now a massive blow because we chose Remy over Gayle as our 3rd option - a massive mistake.

If Gayle was now injured as a player with a very good health record, I wouldn't put that down to Pardew, that wouldn't be fair. Wickham and Remy however were an accident waiting to happen.

I accept the point about the threadbare squad, but I don't think there was anything in Connor Wickham's history (before he joined us) to suggest that he was made of glass. He actually has a pretty good injury record and hasn't missed that many games on that basis.

Remy was a risk, but we had Benteke, Wickham (who had a good record for injuries until last season), and Campbell. For one spot.

The lack of backup for left back - assuming he doesn't rate Fryers - is a major issue though.

6 defenders and Fryers who's either deemed good enough for 30 mins or AP is desperate he'll try anything I'd call irresponsible.

And that's after knowing an area that was an issue last season was midfield and could happen again without cover. And what did he do with midfield in the summer? Sold Jedinak and brought in nobody, tried for Wilshere but again the price for an injury prone player was too high so we paid no fee for a more injury prone player in Flamini.

These repetitive mistakes on and off the field are inexcusable and presently guiding us down.
