Has he really. The only way I see we're f***ed is defending set pieces and that has nothing to do with style of play.

I agree. Yes there have been some bad spells during games defensively, but our biggest problem is defending dead balls. We just can't defend without wrestling it would seem and we can't risk it because of Mike Riley and the like.
Whether we needed to change is irrelevant as whoever took over and now eventually takes over will want to play their way. I'd be worried if they didn't to be honest.

Whoever takes over I would hope assesses the players we have and sets up to play a style that suits them, as per Tony Pulis. That is Pardew's problem he has just picked a style he wants to play without giving any thought as whether they can do it or not.

Have to be honest and say that I am still trying to work out what this new style is!

Seems to be 11 poorly prepared, un fit, disorganised players all looking to each other hoping that one of them will take the game by the scruff of the neck.

I think that being organised is the problem. I hear that the defenders used to hate training , as Pullis would go over the same things again and again (bet they preferred the matches than they do now ).
Pullis used to give all of the players a DVD of the player that they would be directly up against the following game, I'm sure this doesn't happen now. If something's a good idea/working it should stay with a multi million pound company even if the person that suggested it turns out to be a judas , robbing , sheep sh**ging lying c*nt.

Even Pardew noticed our defence was not up to much last weekend (although of course it wasn't for the first time this season).

In normal circumstances we'd expect to see the positive effect of a week's hard training on Saturday ... but don't hold your breath!
