Is the influence of tv as bad as this cartoon makes out?

i'll just view the comments... (tv watching style) if there are any.

I have to agree with most of that , I don't ever watch live tv and hardly watch any of the commercial stations so are pretty much fire proof to advertising but I'm probably not
