Can he really say this?
"About the thumbs-up he gave his chairman Steve Parish: "We have a lot of serious investors at the club who perhaps don't know a lot about football so the chairman has been defending me this week, so I just wanted to say thanks."
Sounds like another nail in his coffin.
This was not a convincing win and the best thing was the clean sheet. Should he be blaming the investors so publicly?

If they are leaving the running of the club to Steve parish why bring them up? There is obviously pressure from them and I think that can be understood. Do you really tell your bosses they don't understand the business?

They don't. They would probably admit as much. This is their first foray in to Football club ownership. If they claimed to know anything about football then I'd be worried.

SP however does after being a fan all his life and running a club for 6 years. It's probably a fair thing to say. Still wasn't the smartest thing to say but I do agree.

Naive at best. They are stupid comments and show how unprofessional he really is with media.

you surely don't say this publicly though. They want him out probably because as investors they are able to see the bigger picture and can look at mr pardews track record. He goes through heaps and toffs. He has got an awful defensive record. We are not playing as a team and today was defiantly not a convincing win, there was too much luck involved. He should watch his mouth to be honest. Not the time to be cocky. Lets see how he does against hull and hope he doesn't Headbutt anyone

Just heard what he said. Fans were great team were great and then something like the Chairman had been great this week defending me to the investors which isn't easy after 6 defeats in a row.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what he said.

Unless you have an agenda of course

correct. BUT pleased with the win today. Maybe he's just clumsy in his reflections to media.

Look Guy's, I'm no fan of AP but credit where it due he did get a must win result today, how we got it does not really matter and what he says afterwards does not either. The Guy has been under tremendous pressure this week from both Media and Fans as well as internal investors at the club. He may be right the US investors may not understand our football ( I don't understand theirs ) and therefore rely a lot on SP/AP. To them this is an investment and they want a return. Give him a break and lets see what he does next week and then review the situation for now be happy we have a clean sheet and 3 points!
