It's less about where we should have finished last season or where we should be in the table right now; it's mostly about his current trajectory, which is predominantly downward. Bearing in mind our start last season, which had followed a decent second half of the season before, it would not been unreasonable to have expected around ninth to 11th. After the second half of last season, I'd say that we're probably just about where you might expect; flirting with the bottom three.

We've been losing a lot more than we've been winning for almost a year, without drawing many either, and that will only end one way unless Pardew can turn it around on a sustained basis, and I'm not convinced he's the manager to do that. That we should retain his services because there is perhaps no obvious replacement is becoming a rather tired cliché. There probably are some good candidates out there, it's just that they may not have Palace already on their CV, haven't been on the PL/Championship merry-go-round for donkey's years and may not be currently unemployed.

What report would that be? If you're talking about Parish's interview on Talks***e, there was more to be concerned about in that than there was to be pleased about. And, as I've already said, being concerned about the run we've been on is as far from moaning as sticking your fingers in your ears and going LA LA LA is to arse-licking.

AP is a Marmite Manaager - some love him and some really don't like the taste he leaves.
Just one of those things - but at least we all agree that we want the Team to do well and if it does then that will be down to him.

AP should probably apply the inverse logic to himself as well then. He *always* heaps praise on himself for good results, but very very rarely accepts any blame for bad ones.
