at the end of the day we have no option by to trust SP judgement, I disagree on the 2016 stats not being important because it is a clear trend that must concern all, last weekends win was one small step in the right direction but by no means a giant leap forward and this weekend is a must win fixture. As for AP job security, how many chairman have made those statements and then the opposite happens, if results in the PL improve then I'm happy with AP but that has to continue this weekend with a win otherwise we a back in brown stuff!

It was a bit of a puff piece really, but I suppose if Jim White really got stuck into the guests they'd have trouble getting anyone on.

Parish made a big deal about AP's win rate at the club being 44%

However, what the presenters failed to pick up was the fact the vast majority of those wins were in his first 12m at the club.

As AP's influence has infested the team and squad more and more the results have got worse and worse.

Also not being fans there was no discussion prompted by the hosts about abject AP disasters like Yaya Sanogo, Patrick Bamford, Emmanuel Adebayor, Alex McCarthy, Jordon Mutch, Loic Remy, Steve Mandanda etc. etc.....

Probably because it's quite common knowledge that not every signing works out how they were intended. I could give you a list of the greatest managers in the word and the biggest clubs all making poor signings.

Thought I'd get some stick on here for including the goalkeeper, but he hasn't been all that has he?

There were others I was going to add to the list, but maybe 'mediocre' would be a better heading.

They include: Connor Wickham (so good we loaned-in Adebayor); Chungy (gets props for retaining the ball, but all he does is knock it backwards) Cabaye (surely £10m could have been spent better?) Jonathan Benteke (as a condition of his brother coming. Embarrassing).

To this list you can add Zaha, Cruyff etc.

1. Bébé: £7.4 million from Vitória de Guimarães
Bébé's insight into his relationship with Ferguson illustrates how badly his move worked out: "He told me to cut my hair, it will look better. So I cut it the same day. In the next training session, he didn't recognise me. I went past him many times and he didn't know me."

2. Ralph Milne: £170,000 from Bristol City
"I only paid £170,000 but still get condemned for it," says Ferguson. After leaving United, Ralph Milne never played professional football again.

3. Massimo Taibi: £4.5m from Venezia
Massimo Taibi made only four league appearances for United, but his howler against Southampton remains extremely popular on YouTube.

4. David Bellion: £3m from Sunderland
Manchester United have been involved in some controversial transfer activity. Ruud Van Nistelroy and Japp Stam might have warranted the reported stealth, but David Bellion did not.

5. Dong Fangzhou: £3.5m from Dalian Shide
He made one Premier League appearance, but may have sold some shirts in China.

6. Dimitar Berbatov: £30.75m from Tottenham Hotspur
United's most expensive signing of all time is still adored by fans, but Ferguson never worked out how to get the best from him.

7. Eric Djemba-Djemba: £3.5m from Nantes
The Cameroon player let his big move go to his head. He bought 10 4x4 cars, opened 30 bank accounts and ended up bankrupt.

8. Gabriel Obertan: £3m from Bordeaux
He excelled at running fast and stepping over the ball, but wasn't so good at kicking it.

9. Kléberson: £6.5m from Atlético Paranaense
He won the World Cup but made less of an impact at Old Trafford than David May.

10. Juan Sebastián Verón: £28m from Lazio
"He's a f***ing great player, and you're all f***ing idiots," reckoned Fergie.

11. Diego Forlán: £6.9m from Independiente
"He came from Uruguay, he made the Scousers cry." Unfortunately, he did little else.

SP is very smart in his public backing of managers.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Wasn't Mutch one of Pards ? I echo what you say concerning the transfers altho I think the recent ones need more time for a fair assessment, others not so.

Yes Mutch was signed by Pardew.Wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in January.

Just said "very soon".

More to the point, why is Parish going on radio once again now we've won a single game? Goes missing when we're out of form, as soon as we think we've turned the corner him and AP go doing stupid media interviews assuming we're mid-table all of a sudden. It always comes back to bite us on the arse.

Just go about the job quietly and efficiently.

Edited by We are goin up! (06 Dec 2016 11.35am)

which is exactly what SP has always done. Love the way some fans have to find fault in anything. Most fans would give anything to have there Chairman communicate with fans.

He probably stays quiet when things aren't good to keep the abuse away. Works both ways, some aren't as abusive after a win.

J Benteke wasn't a condition of his brother coming and even if he was I'd have signed his whole family if that's what it took to get him here, finally we have a world class CF and you have to find holes in it? As for Cabaye, his last stint in the Premier league was brilliant, I'm pretty sure Pardew thought he'd be getting the same player back but it obviously hasn't quite worked out. Still he's a very good midfielder for our level of club and is nowhere near as bad as people are making out. Wickham has been unlucky with injury, still young and has scored some great and important goals. Is he the finished article? No. Does he have the potential? I think he does.

All teams buy players that don't quite work out or fit. It's life. We have a decent squad now and if it's taken the purchases of players that don't fit then so be it.

I'm not too sure about wickham having any potential the potential maybe to get permanently injured all the time I agree. I think he's going to be 1 of them players who cannot stay injury free for any prolonged length of time. I hope I'm wrong.
