That was NOT good enough, I said after last weeks result AP still has to go.
Today we were poor at the back again and little or no tracking back in the 2nd half.
Wilf must be worth a fortune and unless we pick up soon he will be off and IMO we cannot afford that to happen.
I'm sure SP knows what he is doing and I really hope he will act very soon. I want a manger to be in situ for a long period and was hoping AP was the man but it would seem not, again IMO.

I'm sorry but ridiculous penalty decision aside we were still poor for the most part today.

One win last week changed nothing for me because we couldn't follow it up today against a very poor Hull City. Shipping 3 goals to them and 5 to Swansea is just not good enough.

We now have Man Utd, Chelsea and a Watford side currently going well.... Pardew gone by the new year I reckon.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I think that's a bit ridiculous, fans moaned because we didn't score enough and now he's fixed that by f***ing the defence we are supposed to be happy? I don't expect us to win every week or be fighting for a European place but 8 goals against two of the s***test attacks in the league is so poor. Fans have a right to moan. I wasn't moaning in the second half of last season because we didn't have a decent striker, but how can our defence go from half decent to shocking?
I don't think there would be many fans moaning if we weren't so calamitous at the back being the architects of our own demise by throwing away points against s*** teams. It's embarrassing.

It's not ridiculous at all. Explain how he is responsible for poor defending. Do you think he tells the players to mark nobody in case we get a chance to break for a goal? You seem to be saying that it is his fault that the defenders have stopped doing what they have for the last three seasons. It's the players who have been at fault. I will admit that it is down to the manager to get them more focused, but he can't do that during a game. If they fail to pick up who they are supposed to be marking, what can he do from the technical area?

The manager has to take some of the blame, if it was an anomaly then it would be unfair to blame Pardew but it isn't; this week defense is happening week after week. The players don't know what they're doing or they have no faith in the managers tactical set up. Pullis had the same back 4 (if not weaker) yet we were rock sturdy at the back and every team Pullis goes to is the same.

My point here isn't to praise Pullis but it is purely to show that an effective manager can have a positive impact on a team.

Pardew is out of his depth and if we do go down I will be thankful for the past few seasons as in my time of being a Palace supporter we have been a Championship team. But if we want to remain a premier league team it is time for change, any longer and we will get relegated.

Because he is responsible for coaching and training of players. Apparently they had to ask for more defensive training prior to the Saints game.

He is also responsible for match preparation, playing style and tactics. The standard of these for most of this year has not been good enough, plenty of evidence in our last 4 away matches.

Ultimately it has gone on long enough now to definitely be Pardew's fault. Either he is not capable of organising the players to defend effectively full stop, or at least not able to motivate them to follow his instructions. In both cases the buck stops with him.

I wanted to believe that we were turning back in the right direction after last week, but today was all wrong again - despite salvaging a point.

I'm with the OP on this one. Get the muppet out of this position and get somebody in that knows what they're doing. I'm a fan of Alan but he is completely out of his depth.

Managerial positions in or out of football and generally results driven and the results are not in his favour any more.

Well the manager ain't sorting it is he ? I saw Wickham shouting at our bench in the Man City game for instructions as who he should be picking up marking wise. He was right next to their player at the time, that player scored their second goal. I would have thought all our players would know who to pick up at free kicks and corners before the game even kicks off, managers job to sort. The players shouldn't have to yell at the bench for those kind of instructions during a game. Pardew has lost it, as I've said before on other threads I never even wanted him in the first place, blows hot and cold at every club he has managed, past his sell by, get rid.

So Hull are the worst team in the league?

Two weeks ago everyone said that was Swansea

Week before that is was Burnley.

There's 8-9 teams at the moment that are in danger, we are one of them but we are sitting near the top of that pile

..precisely, there are no bad teams in this league and Hull are far from s***, some people do talk rubbish.
