From a survival point of view the fact that others are doing worse is a good thing.
From our own Club's point of view we are going backwards not forwards and that is a worry.
we should be staying the same or getting a little better really.
2013/2014 - 45 points - Holloway/Pulis
2014/2015 - 48 points - Various/Pardew
2015/2016 - 42 points - Pardew with a relegation scare
2016/2017 - ?? points - Pardew and who knows

Very worried that if he remains in charge until after the Arsenal game, he would have presided over just six wins in 2016 and we will be sleep walking to the Championship.
Just when will Parish wake-up and smell the coffee??
Hopefully, some discussion is being had with Big Sam who can be our saviour and we can have a seamless ' transition'.No sentimentality in a results driven business, even though they are big mates.

Big Sam a saviour, I don't think so.

Just purely because I'm bored at work and people are talking about points I've gone through the league games we have left and the points I think we'll get out of them.

I make it 38 points which would have kept us up in the last few seasons but would make for a very tense last few weeks

He should go finishing on 38 points anyway. Pathetic.

Still think Pardew has something on Parish.

Steve secretly becomes Stephanie after our Saturday matches and disappears.

With a few exceptions (Looking at you Newcastle, Chelsea last year under the special one), the Prem is a capitalist league.

You get what you pay for. Our net spend this summer was 15th. I expect us to finish 15th, any higher is gravy. If we spend big in January (I hope we will), we could bump up a couple of places. The difference between finishing 17th and 13th is usually two wins. I think 2 expensive players in January can bring us those 2 wins.

The big clubs can supplement this by running good (and expensive) academies. I think this is where Parish wants to go, but it will take years. Same with a bigger gate (and lucrative boxes). a renovated stadium take a lot of time. These things take time, but they provide a real, longterm advantage over the yoyo teams.

14 years and I've never noticed that check box; I thought it was just something we had to live with
