I agree. But a defensive midfielder who can run, tackle, and pass a ball 30ft, a full back or two, and a back up center half come first. That would at least allow Cabaye to play slightly further forward, and Puncheon to play behind the striker where he looks pretty good sometimes.

Think no one is complaining about Benteke, but yes - he was simply a better player at Villa. Surrounding players or not - there he did it (kept them up) almost singlehandedly.

hes on target for almost 25 goals this season so were obviously playing to his strenghts.

Astonishing we have been crying out for a 20 goal season striker,we finally get one and people moan about his movement....what was it Simon Jordan said about hot dogs.
I have been going to the palace since Fulham (1969),and this is some of the best times in all those years (Wright and bright years) better but come on,in am not great lover of Pardew and if he was replaced then so be it,but I really do think we will survive this year,hopefully he knows what we need to do in January..
